Lightroom Presets

Another experiment with the excelent Adobe Photshop Lightroom presets developed by Matt Kloskowski.

Matt Kloskowski is a Photoshop and Lightroom expert and runs a great site dedicated exclusively to Lightroom, the Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Killer Tips (www.lightroomkillertips.com), where you can find tips, tricks, tutorials and presets for Lightroom.

Highly recommended!

Playing around with different settings in Lightroom, and I managed to came up with this.

Framing was intentional, made at the time of capture back, but what the picture really needed was the right post-processing!

Importing old photos into Lightroom catalogs sometimes brings up some nice pictures, that were not worked due to one reason or another, like this one.

Back in 2006, English Electric locomotives pulling Sorefame inox stock were still very common in the Douro Line, especially during the summer days.

Loved the golden light on this one, and the scale of the train in the landscape!

Hello everyone,

Trilhos de Ferro (lit. Iron Paths) has been serving me well for the past weeks on Flickr, but I feel time has come to give it an upgrade, a space of it’s own on the websphere. Hence comes this blog, which has no pretentions apart from showing off my latest photo work, and some other stuff which I find interesting.

So, what can YOU, the reader, expect to find here? Photography, mostly from my favorite subject, railways and trains. Some tutorials, either photographic in nature or post-processing themed. And the ocasional random post, just because so.

Hopefully, someone may find the pictures nice, or the information here useful. I sincerelly hope so!

PS: Bellow you’ll find a beta post, with a few pictures taken with the excelent 100mm f/2.8 macro lens from Canon. Taken at Vila Nova de Gaia Devesas Station, all pictures where then processed in Adobe Lightroom and uploaded to Flickr for all to see.
